Why we exist

The emergence of AI video technology unlocked the ability to generate visually stunning individual shots — yet simultaneously made it dangerously easy to lose sight of the cohesive film itself. Clip-first generation tools inadvertently reduce a complete narrative into a scattered collection of disconnected renders stored in project folders. 熙熙 deliberately chooses the inverse approach: authors work within an authentic screenwriting environment, systematically board every scene directly from the written script, then generate motion sequences from story beats that have already been narratively justified and earned within the screenplay structure. In this paradigm, rendered clips function as temporal hypotheses to be tested and refined, while the screenplay itself remains the binding contract that holds the entire production together.

Who we are

熙熙 is developed and maintained by Outerframe Studio, a French société par actions simplifiée (SAS) headquartered in Strasbourg, France. The company was founded by Frank Houbre, who currently serves as both President and publication director. The core team is deliberately small and product-obsessed, composed of filmmakers and engineers who bring both creative and technical expertise to the platform's evolution. Outerframe Studio is proud to be supported by the ElevenLabs Startup Grants program, which has enabled accelerated development of the 熙熙 ecosystem.
