INT. UNDERGROUND CAVERN - LOWER PATH - CONTINUOUS
Blue mushrooms the size of houses rise from the cracked ground. LANTERN, a small knight with a lantern for a helm that glows faintly from within, walks alone through the fungal forest, his silhouette dwarfed by the caps overhead.
He presses a hand to his chest plate. Sparks of light slip between his fingers, drifting upward like embers, each one a fragment of the flame that keeps him alive and that he cannot afford to lose.
SERRURE
Hold on. You're losing something.
Serrure lifts the edge of the cloak with careful fingers. Underneath, a gash cuts through the armor plating where something sharp found its way in. Blue light leaks out from the wound like smoke curling into still air, illuminating the dark fabric from within.
SERRURE
That's your energy. What keeps you standing.
He grips Lantern's shoulder firmly, steadying both of them in the silence. Two knights stand alone among the crystals, their breath visible in the cold cave air, neither speaking yet both understanding what the blue light means.
SERRURE
A suit that leaks goes out. Eventually.
Under the giant mushrooms, the road climbs into the dark.
SERRURE
So. We follow the road.
Serrure points the way. Lantern follows.
